Catching Up

A few Friday's ago when Gigi was babysitting Sonni they went to Pam's and she got to have some play time with her cousin Easton... here is a picture of the two of the playing on the mat together.

This past weekend Will went to the lake and I had a nice relaxing weekend at home with Sonni. Anna came over and spent the night with us and I got some much needed rest. We also went swimming over at Mrs. Sherry's house. Here are some pictures...

This weekend coming up we will be going to Sardis for the fourth of July! It should be a nice long weekend of rest and relaxation as a family. Can't wait!!

First Day At Mrs. Connie's

Sonni you made it through your first day at Mrs. Connie's!!! She said you did great and really enjoyed watching the other children. I think this is just the beginning of a great relationship!

Awake!!!

Sonni one of the biggest adjustments for me has been not getting enough sleep! Tonight I have tossed and turned thinking about you being at the babysitter tomorrow! Now it is almost time to get up and get ready for work. I know I will be one tired momma by the days end. Yesterday we were very productive, we cleaned the house, did the checkbook and bills, laundry, put your all of your clothes upstairs officially, and went to town. We also went to the Taste of Tipton which Gigi's work was hosting. You got passed around there from Pop to Dana, Allie, & Abby. It was a good time and the food was great.
Your dad and I haven't been getting along so great which is another reason I can't sleep. Hopefully things will begin to work themselves out and we will see eye to eye again. I love him very much and cannot stand arguing. I think we both just want what is best for this family!
Will I love you and I wish you would let go a little bit and trust me to do the right thing for our baby girl! I love her and you very much and want the best for everyone!

Father's Day 2011

Happy Father's Day to the best daddy in the whole world, that is second to mine of course! Sonni has some great men in her life any way she turns! So happy father's day to Big John, Pop, and of course Will. Thank you to each of them for everything they do for me and Sonni. We cannot describe the gratuide we have for these three men. Sonni of course made her dad, Big John, and Pop the cutest father's day cards...she's so creative already!

As I said earlier we spent the weekend with Joel and Mckenzie. Sonni goes to bed in Hartley's bed almost as much as she does her own...But we had a great time swimming and being with our friends Saturday...

Tomorrow is going to be Sonni's first day with Mrs. Connie! I know she will be fine, but I don't know about mom....

Back to Work

Well I went back to work yesterday! It was a good day...a little hard at first getting back into the routine, but I had a really sweet patient who made the transition easier. She also made everyone that visited her look at the entire album of Sonni's pictures that I had brough to work. Once I got over my own nervousness about not knowing what to do when I got back to work...Things went very smoothly. It was hard spending the whole day away from Sonni. I know she has already spent the night away from me, but for the most part when she is gone at night I know she is sleeping. So it was hard not being able to spend the day with her and seeing all the little changes that happen daily. It was nice to visit with friends and begin the routine of our "normal life." Luckily I only have to work two days a week so I will not miss out on too much of her growing up. Today Will and I have spent the day just hanging around the house and spending time with Sonni. Tonight...swim party at Joel and Mckenzies!!

Two Months!!

Sonni you were two months old yesterday! This time has just flown by and you are changing and growing so quickly. Your little personality is starting to show more everyday. But with this milestone has come with a few other changes. Last night you slept upstairs for the first time. We made it almost all the way through the night but I brought you back downstairs with me when you woke up at 4:30. The sleeping all the way through the night was short lived and now you are waking up twice again. You are a bit restless in your room, but I am sure you will get used to the new environment quickly. Today we had two month shots which went fairly well. Will took off work and went to the doctor so mom didn't have to watch! You did pretty well, but still screamed! At two months, you weigh 11 lbs 8 oz. and are 23 3/4 inches tall. This is 50th percent for weight and 95th percent for height. So for now it looks like you might be tall!! Happy girl before the shots...

We Made It!

Well we made it through another busy weekend! Sonni was an angel for Buddie and we had a blast at the party! But stayed out too late as usual. We love Colby very much so we suffered through getting up to make it to church for her baptism and the showers we had. Sonni was great and looked adorable! This week is going to be another busy week for us! Sonni will be two months tomorrow and has to go for a check-up and shots on Wednesday. Thursday we are going to the Krull's for the lasting impressions lady to make Sonni's handprint and Friday I am going back to work. I guess I will have to do homework somewhere in this mix!

Busy, Busy

It seems like we have gotten really bust all of the sudden and it's only going to get more hectic when I go back to work this week. We have another busy weekend this weekend. Tonight Sonni is going to stay with her Buddie and Big John for the first time! They are two very excited grandparents. We have to go to a baby shower for our friends Adriann and Lori and then to a wedding shower for Megan Tatlock. Then tomorrow we have a busy day going to church to watch Colby get baptized then a 50th anniversary party for Nonnie and a baby shower for Chrissy and Molly Palmer! We are going to be on the go all day tomorrow and I hope that Sonni is a perfect little angel for the adventures! I'm sure she will be... This week I got Sonni a pair of sunglasses and they are adorable! She doesn't mind them too bad at all. I also got her the cutest beach towel and Buddie got her the beach bag that matches! I know she will be the cutest one on the lake!
Sonni you are growing so fast! This week you laughed out loud while you were laying in the bed with daddy and you slept all the way through the night for the first time! I wish I could say I slept all the way through the night too but I still woke up and checked on you probably ten times! Here are some pictures from the week...One is a self portrait which I hate but I wanted Sonni to be able to see how we water the flowers and do most things in the afternoon because she doesn't want me to put her down!!

It's HOT!!!

Sonni it is only June 6th but it is very HOT already! It has already reached 100 degrees. We have been busy during moms last week before school starts. So busy that I have slacked off on taking pictures. I am going to so better this week. We did go to your cousin Gracen's last softball game with Buddie. Then Saturday night you stayed with Gigi for the second time because we went to Morgan's wedding. It was beautiful but also very hot. So we skipped out with Joel and Mckenzie and ended up at Jake's where Joel and Will sang karokee. We had a blast and laughed harder than I have laughed in a while. I will post pictures of this adventure as soon as Mckenzie e-mails them to me. We had to take pictures otherwise we wouldn't have had any proof of this night of laughter and fun!
Sonni, you are growing so fast and it is amazing! It seems as if you get bigger everyday and we love you more everyday!

Thank You

I wanted to say thank you to Buddie and Big John for all their help at the lake last weekend. They got to go with us on your first trip to Sardis and they were a huge help! They bought you the new bouncy seat and play mat on thier way down to the lake. They also helped watch you part of the time so mom and dad could go and hang out with their friends. You even got to ride on Jeff and Pams boat with Buddie's friends! It was a weekend full of fun times!
