Celebrate!

Thursday Sonni and I got to go pick up Hartley to play! We had so much fun! First we went to the Freckled Frog and then ran a few more errands before coming to the house. They girls were both great. Unfortunately they didn't get much play time because they both napped almost the entire afternoon! Which was ok because I was able to get me and Will packed to head down to Sardis. We left Thursday right we he got off from work. I did get one great shot of them watching Dora before we left Joel and McKenzie's.

After a week of work...we had another great weekend! Thursday we went to Sardis to do some more work and get some paperwork changed over into our names. Once we got to the lake we realized that some friends were also down for the weekend. We didn't have any idea that we were going to be going out on the water so when we went to run errands we had to get a swim suit for me and Sonni. Now we have some emergency items at Sardis for when we just decide to up and go. I ended up painting one of the bathrooms Friday before we went out on the water. I had told myself I wasn't going to paint anything for a while, but I just couldn't stand it! After getting some work done Friday morning, we went out on the water with Ben, Kristy, Bill, Emily, Dawson, Brian, Kate, and Rose. We had a great time! We went out later in the evening so it was not too hot for the kids and then came back and cooked a wonderful steak. We enjoyed this time and would have loved to have stayed the rest of the weekend, but we had some very important things to get home to! So Saturday morning we loaded up and came home after the boys got back from fishing.

Her swim suit even came with a cover-up which is the only one she has so I was glad for that! And it was on clearance!

Sonni fell asleep on her play mat after her bath Friday. The water wore this little girl out!
Saturday night Will and I went to dinner with Christina and Tanny and then to a wedding shower for Nicky and Liz at the country club. We didn't stay too late because we knew we would have a very busy day Sunday...
Sunday morning we got Sonni baptized at church! This was a very special occasion. We are so very lucky to have both of our families in the same church. It is unusual that a husband and wife are raised in the same church and they do not have to choose where they will go after marriage. This also make this very special for Sonni because she will have both sets of grandparents and great-grands at church for every occasion...including every Sunday morning. My hope is that this strong relationship with church and family will stay with her for a lifetime. She did very good during the baptism and only cried for a minute when Brother Ron was holding her. She didn't even cry when they put the water on her head! She had a large crowd there to watch her and we are thankful to all of our family and friends who were able to come and be a part of this special day.

After church we had lunch at Buddie's house with all of our family! Here is a cute shot I was able to get of Sonni and Gracen...
Sunday was also our best friend Hartley's second birthday! Will and I are both crazy about this little girl and it is hard to believe that she is already two!! Time just flies and it is very bitter sweet. She is at such a fun age and we enjoy playing with her and watching her grow! Hartley we love you! She had a water slide for her party. When we left the house Will said there was no way he was getting in the water...But of course Hartley got the best of him when she started saying "Bubba shoes" "Bubba shirt"! So needless to say he ended up taking her down the slide and going down a few times himself. He had so much fun I think I may have to rent the slide for his birthday party! Ha. Happy Birthday Hartley!!

Needless to say we were a bit tired after this long weekend!! Today Sonni and I are resting and catching up on things around the house before I have to start another work week. I am very thankful to have this Monday off from work!

Busy Weekend

Well we had a busy but somewhat relaxing weekend. Friday night Sonni stayed the night with Gigi and Pop while Will and I went to Sardis to do some work on the new place! It was in pretty good shape, but needed cleaning to my standards and some decorating. We brought a truck load of decorations from the house, bought a few, and gathered a few that belonged to us from the other trailer. We stayed up until two in the morning working. I even let will talk me into cutting a hole into my fish rug...but it looks really great in the new space. Saturday morning we got up and hit it hard again working in the yard this time! We sprayed round up, picked up sticks, and blew leaves. We were able to get a lot of work done, but we were missing our little girl! So we met mom in Memphis picked Sonni up and went back to Sardis! We were going to do some more work but instead we grilled out, watched a movie, and played with Sonni. I think this relaxing family time was very well deserved. Here are some picture of our new space at Sardis...

I am sure this space will continue to change with each visit. I can say that I spray painted so much that my arm was sore! I spent a lot of time spray painting some things that the previous owners left such as lamps. So for our next trip I bought myself one of the attachments for the spray paint can! I wish I had taken before pictures, but I didn't really get any.
We came home Sunday and I had a paper to do while Will went to John's Boat Dock. Monday was filled with more homework, house cleaning, and another trip to Wal-Mart! Then Mrs. Sabrina and I took dinner to Adrian and Lori...Here is a picture of Luke Allan from this visit...
He is so tiny and very, very sweet! After all of this work Sonni was worn out! She has been a little fussy lately because her gums are bothering her. She was playing on her mat while Will and I had dinner and when we looked down at her she was sacked out! This is the first time she has just fallen asleep in the middle of activity like that so I am guessing she must have been exhausted from our busy weekend/day...

Three Months

Sonni tomorrow you will be three months old! It is hard to believe that this time has just flown by so fast. You are changing so much everyday and I love you more every second! At three months you are 13 lbs 4 oz. and 24 inches long. You are such a big girl and it is so amazing how long you are! I think you may be a very tall girl. You are a very content baby. You like to play patty-cake and to ride the horse. Also you love your bath time...well pretty much any kind of water! You love to be outside, ride with the windows down in the car, and music. You like to be sang to. Sonni Bug is the nickname I call you and it's part of the song that I sing to you. You have very little hair, but I am hopeful that more will start growing very soon. What hair you do have looks red when you are outside and strawberry blonde when you are inside. You still have your little baby fists but I think that may be changing as we speak. You are also really getting after that thumb! Here are some pictures of you at three months...

Friends

I had to borrow this picture from Mckenzie's blog. This is from the sleepover that Sonni and Hartley had...Hartley was "teaching" Sonni the Itsy Bitsy Spider and it looks like Sonni is trying to do it too. I thought this was too adorable not to share!
So many of our friends have little ones right now and it is going to be such a joy watching all these children grow up together. I know they will all be such good friends! Today we went to Adrian and Lori's to meet Luke Allen. He is so precious! And so small compared to Sonni. It is amazing how fast they grow and change!

I am sure these two will be chasing each other around before we know it!

Weekend Fun!

We have had a fun but busy weekend. Friday night when I got off from work I headed straight over to Dusting and Sara's. Will already had Sonni over there and the girls were helping to take care of her while the boys were cooking ribs and chicken. We had a fun time hanging out with friends and we ate some wonderful food. Here are some pictures of Sonni and Dawson playing...I think Dawson could possibly take a liking to that bink-bink if he was around one for too long!

Then Saturday night we went to the Casino with Tanner, Chrissy, Kerry Ann, Michael David, Mr. Carl, Mrs. Nancy, Mr. Tucker, and Mrs. Cindy Ashford. We had a blast! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the best resturaunt I have ever eaten at! Much thanks to Mrs. Nancy for the wonderful meal. Then we spent the rest of the night watching the boys playing craps and playing a few penny machines. It was my first trip to the casino and it was a nice experience. We also went to the Carter's Kids Outlet and I got Sonni some really cute things! Something fun to do every once in a while. Sonni stayed the night with Mckenzie and Hartley! I think they had a good time. And we are very grateful to Mckenzie for watching her so that we could go on our little trip!

Sonni's Two Week Pictures

Here are a bunch of the two week pictures that Jenny Arthur took of Sonni....
