Weekend Fun

Friday night we went to a memorial party for Chad Cromwell at the Garland Community Center. Sonni and I did not stay long because she was tired, but Will stayed a little later and was happy to have an opportunity to see and hang out with some old friends.
Sonni got along well with Lyv and Chad and enjoyed playing with them while we were there...

Saturday night we went to Tanner and Chrissy's to watch the MSU vs ALB game. Sonni didn't go because we thought that there were not going to be any kids! Turned out to be a lot of kids!...I hate she missed out on the fun. She will have to hang out next time!
Sunday we had family pictures at the mini session for Cristi Oswalt...Hopefully she was able to get at least one good shot!...Bug all ready for pictures!

18 Months!

This morning we went to Memphis for Sonni's 18 month check up. She is 34.5 inches and 28.75 pounds. She is in the 96% for height and weight, which is the same percentile she has been in since birth. Sonni is growing so much everyday! I cannot believe how big she is getting. It is very bittersweet to watch her learn and grow. I had no idea that I would ever be able to love someone so much! She is amazing. At 18 months, Sonni loves to read books and play with her baby dolls. She enjoys being outside and riding anything with wheels. She loves tooth brushes, hair brushes, and her golf clubs. She enjoys watching Dora and Bubble Guppies on TV. She is at a very sweet age and will randomly squeeze you around the neck! She loves her daddy and does everything he does. We are loving being parents to this precious little girl and are blessed that God choose us to be her parents!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to a pumpkin patch in Ripley, TN with Palmer and Chrissy. It was a neat place with tons of stuff for the kids, but Sonni and MP were a little too small...They had story telling, a hay ride, a corn maze, fishing, a blow up slide, face painting, and bonfires where you could cook s'mores and hot dogs! We will definitely be going back next year!
We did get to take pictures of the girls by the pumpkins!
How precious are these babies???

Friday night Sonni got a big boo boo on her head....Charter accidentally knocked her off of the golf cart and she got her head pretty good on the work bench in the shop!

Starkville

Saturday morning we headed to Starkville for the MSU vs VOLS football game! We went with Tanner and Chrissy. MSU is Tanner's alma mater, and it was a truck divided to say the least. Tanner and Chrissy were for state and we were for TN. Will brought his TN flag for the truck and Tanner wouldn't even let him put it out until we could stop and get him a MS flag! They are crazy! We had a wonderful time with the exceptions of the cow bells and the loss of course... MSU has a beautiful campus and fun atmosphere.
We had a great time with great friends!
Some game day shots...

Game Time!
The game didn't start until 8pm so we were able to leave early, check in our hotel, shower, and head towards the stadium for some tailgating with some of Tanner's buddies!
We were done for by the time the game was over and everything was closed because it was 1am, so we didn't get to experience any of the Starkville night life. One thing I really liked about the school campus was that while it is a huge campus with a large number of students, you are just a few turns away from a backroad.
Prior to becoming parents Will and I said that we would like to go to at least 5 different SEC stadiums to experience their game day. Happy to say that we are on our way to checking that off of our bucket list!
1. Knoxville
2. MSU
2.5. Ole Miss (This one only gets a half point because we didn't actually go into the stadium, maybe this year we can go to the game as well as the grove! Two years ago we went and tailgated in the Grove, but didn't go to the game. I was also pregnant and had to drive everyone home so this one definitely needs a re-do!)
Of course we missed our sweet girl terribly while we were gone!
Hanging out with Aunt Monnie  aka AFC
She LOVES her Daddy! Actually, I think that may even be an understatement. She wants to do everything just the way he does it and hangs on him when he is home!
Crossing her legs like Daddy while watching some tunes on Sunday afternoon...
love these two
Bath Time Fun!
Silly girl...
Who ate the water crayon?
She was loving on her baby tonight in the tub! She was also bathing and washing her babies hair. Mckenzie got her this bathtub baby when she was just a couple of months old! She always plays with it, but was rather attached tonight. We had to get her out, dry her off, and put lotion on her! I'm sure she would have wanted to put a diaper and pjs on her but the baby doll is too small so we had to use some major distraction techniques!
So Sweet...

Such a good little momma! I wish I had pictures of her putting lotion ALL over her (our newest obsession).
I love this little girl SOOO much! She is hilarious! I am so happy for that part of her personality.
One thing that attracted me to Will from day one was his ability to make me laugh. He is hilarious and is always making me laugh. When I am really stressed out about school, work, and life in general, he will make me start laughing and before I know it all that stress is gone! I am happy to say that Sonni has that attribute as well! Very thankful for my family!
