This new journey of parenthood became official two weeks ago today when we welcomed Sonni into this world. It was an exciting day that was filled with many emotions of anticipation and excitement. My labor was induced on 04/14/2011 at 8 am and Sonni finally arrived at 10:21 pm. We were surrounded by our family and friends who stuck with us through the long labor just to lay eyes on our precious baby girl. I had to have a C-section after the long day and it was 1:30 am before they were able to see Sonni! Everyone was exhausted but overcome with joy and happiness as they helped us welcome our new family member.
Becoming parents has been a life changing experience for us! Who knew you could love somebody so much? The last two weeks have been full of new experiences and lots of visitors! I am going to post a few pictures.
Will and I would like to say thank you to all of our family and friends who have visited and brought food over the last two weeks. And of course we would like to thank our mothers who have stayed with us and gotten up at all hours of the night to help with this little bug so that Will and I could get a little bit of extra sleep!
