One Month Old

Sonni yesterday you were one month old! It is hard to believe that you have already been here a month. The time has flown by and you are growing like a weed already. Mom and Dad have enjoyed every minute that we have gotten to spend with you. At one month you are 21 inches long and weigh 10 lbs. 7 oz. You are changing in apperance every day! It is a wonderful gift from God to be able to watch you grow and change daily. You have rolled over four times and you are starting to stay awake a lot more. You are a very good sleeper and only wake up two times a night which mommy is very thankful for. You also love to snuggle in the mornings. Mom made you a shirt to have your picture taken but you were not very happy about the picture.

Here are some pictures of you and Daddy snuggling on the couch.

Daddy went out of town turkey hunting this weekend. He had a really hard time being away from you for that long and really missed us, but he killed a turkey. While he was gone we spent the night at Gigi's house and went to Granny's, your great grandmother, on Saturday. This was the first time she has gotten to see you and we had a really nice visit. We went to Aunt Lucille's, your great great aunts, house and she kept calling you a boy but it may have been the mint julep/bloody mary she had before we got there! She thought you were beautiful and we had a visit that was full of laughter and fun. It was bitter sweet because Paw Paw, your great-grandfather, passed away last year and was not there to meet you. He would have loved you very much! While we were there we loaded up a radio that was Paw Paw's in the back of mommies car, there were suddenly squeaking noises coming from the back seat so we turned around and went back to Granny's house. There was a nest of baby mice inside the radio! It was quite an adventure. Here is a picture of you and Granny.
Earlier this week we also went over to visit with Tanner and Chrissy. They enjoyed spending time with you and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of thier own little girl Molly Palmer who I am sure you will be great friends with. They were able to get some good practice during our visit, Tanner gave you a bottle and Chrissy changed her first diaper ever! I am glad we got to help her with this experience and I am sure she will get some more practice during our weekends at Sardis before Palmer gets here.
