Wow! Have our weekends changed...for the better of course. Today is Saturday and our lives are starting to get to what is going to be our new normal. Daddy is mowing the grass and us girls are just hanging out in the house. It is a big adjustment for me because I am not able to go and do as usual, but this is just a part of our new life and I love being at home with my little girl! I got my mother's day present early...I got a cricuit! Thank you so much Sonni and Will for my first mother's day present! Now mom has a new toy to play with while we are hanging out. I am still learning to work my Christmas present too so we should have plenty of things to keep us busy over the next few weeks.
On a different note, the Mississippi River is still on the rise and is expected to crest on May 11 at 48 feet. Riverside Drive in downtown Memphis is under water along with many other homes and other areas around the city. This flood is now making national news. The flooding is not only in Memphis but also other states that border the river.
Also, this past week Bin Laden was killed by the US government. He was the man in charge of planning a horrible attack on the US that killed many people. Our government has been looking for him for 10 years!! He was finally captured and killed. This has given many people who lost loved ones relief. It has also striked many worries that there may be counter terroist attacks. However, national security has been increased. There has also been talks of gas shortages since Bin Laden lives in the country where we get most of our oil supply from. Gas is already at record highs across the country. When you were born the average gas price was $3.75.
Tomorrow is mother's day and it is going to be our first Sunday at church since you were born! We will have a very busy day with church then lunch at Buddie's and dinner at Gigi's. You will get to meet alot of your family tomorrow that you haven't seen yet. Tomorrow I will post pictures from church and mother's day!
