Four Months!

On Sunday Sonni was four months old! Today we went for her check-up and shots. She weighs 15 lbs which is the 90th percentile, is 25 1/2 inches long which is the 95th percentile! She is a big girl for her age. She has a knot of the back of her head that has been there for several months now. The Dr. says that it is a hemangioma. This is nothing serious at all! It may get a little bigger, but after age 1 it should start going away and be completely gone by age three. It is still the same color as the surrounding skin now, but may begin to change to a pink color at some point. Each one is unique but they are very common. She is also doing well with her motor skills for her age and got and A+ for this check-up. The shots did not go as well this time. She screamed something awful and actually had real tears! It was terribly pitiful. She has also been very fussy all afternoon. Anyhow, here are four month pictures....

Her little mosquito bite on her cheek is pitiful! Also we waited until after the shots this morning to take the pictures....next time we will have to do them the day before! She was not as cooperative as she normally is. I was able to get one small smile...
Sonni at four months you are cooing and even giving the occasional laugh. You are able to follow people with your eyes and really enjoying being talked to. You absolutely HATE your car seat which is going to be an on going battle. It may end with a DVD player? You sleep through the night almost every night. This is usually about a 10 hour sleep and you nap about 5 hours during the day. Usually a short nap in the morning and then a longer nap in the afternoon. You love momma, but you are kind of starting to be a little bit of a daddy's girl. Your personality is emerging more and more every day and I am enjoying watching you grow! I love you!

Now tomorrow you are going to be joined by another friend! Our good friends Tanner and Chrissy are inducing labor tomorrow morning and Molly Palmer will finally make her arrival! We can't wait to meet her!
