Saturday Will, Sonni, and I headed up to Nashville to meet my family and see the Christmas lights at Opry Land Hotel. The lights were beautiful and Sonni got to see Santa. She thought he was very interesting! She just kept looking up at him and trying touch his beard. Then when she came back to me she was turning to see him! Me, Will, Anna, Carrie, Angie, and Jackson all went in to see Merry Madasgar Ice. This was really cool. The entire inside is made from ice (2 million pounds)! There is also a huge ice slide on the inside. It was fun and interesting. Saturday night after we walked around the hotel, we went to have dinner at a place called John A's. This was a small local place that was in the parking lot of our hotel. I was a little leary at first, but they had an awesome band. Then Jeannie C. Riley who sang Harper Valley PTA was there and performed a couple of her songs. She is a much older country singer, but it was still something neat to see.
Sunday night when we got home Buddie and Big John had dinner cooked because they were itching to get their hands on Miss Sonni. They had not seen her since Wednesday before they left for the lake...She was just as happy to see them! Will and I were happy to be off work and have some time together with our families!
Also Will, Ms. Jan, and my mom gave me my birthday present early while we were in Nashville so that I would be able to use it....It is a Rebel Camera!!!! I was so excited and was not expecting it at all. I have been wanting one for a long time and I think I am going to be able to take some wonderful pictures of Sonni! Thank you all! I love my new camera!
